Getting Flavorful with the DaVinci Flavor Chamber

on

The  Davinci flavor chamber is an added accessory to the IQ vaporizer. It allows users to enhance their vaping experience by bringing in new flavors and methods. The flavor chamber is made of zirconia ceramic; an extremely durable material that will give the purest vaping channel and keep the flavor intact. Instead of mixing it into the ceramic bowl with your cannabis, the flavor chamber will use the heat flowing out of the bowl, only giving an essence of what you choose to put inside. Troy, from  420 VapeZone created a video breaking down how to use the flavor chamber, and fourteen experimental herbs to try with his own blend of cannabis in the ceramic bowl.

Influencer Highlight - 420 VapeZone

Troy vapes Jack Herer, a Sativa-dominant strain, in the ceramic bowl throughout this entire experience. Its effects are commonly associated with that of ‘elevated’ such as happy, uplifted, energetic, and euphoric. Mixing them with the different herbs in the flavor chamber might alter some of these effects and give more medical benefits. He breaks it down into four rounds of vaping in order to change out the bowl and freshen his palette. The first round, he vapes on 370F and bumping it up to 380 on rounds two, three, and four. These temperatures can be found on  Smart Path 2 on the IQ.

Troy’s experimental herbs:

  1. Hibiscus flower
  2. Curry leaves
  3. Linden flower
  4. Oregano
  5. Ginger
  6. Dandelion
  7. Chive rings
  8. Cinnamon
  9. Chamomile
  10. Cloves
  11. Star anise
  12. Eucalyptus leaves
  13. Orange peel
  14. All-spice

Out of the fourteen herbs Troy vapes in the flavor chamber, his favorites are listed below:

Hibiscus herb

Hibiscus in the flavor chamber tastes aromatic, fruity, and flavorful.

It is good for keeping your cholesterol level healthy and contains flavonoids, similar to red wine and tea. It boosts metabolism and helps with anxiety.

It is packed with antioxidants and vitamin C. When vaping, it is caffeine-free. It is best when vaped at 275F-347F, and Troy vaped at 370 with his strain in the bowl, therefore not being as hot as 370 hot since it wasn’t placed in the ceramic bowl.

This was his personal favorite.

Dried Ginger

Ginger is mostly used for cooking and medicinal purposes, fitting the category for vaping perfectly.

It is said to usually have a spicier touch to it. but It fights bacteria and inflammation, although most common for soothing digestion. Ginger is good for vaping if you’re feeling sick or have an upset stomach.

The best temperature to vape is 374F-392F. Troy says the taste of it is very strong and a good supplement taste to the cannabis.

You get more of the flavor after you exhale the vapor.

Chamomile

Chamomile decreases the body’s production of prostaglandins, which is why it is great for inducing sleep and reducing muscle spasms and pain.

Although, it does have other therapeutic properties such boosting immunity, healing sunburns, and even protecting yourself against cancer.

This is all because of the increased levels of antioxidants found in chamomile. Troy describes the taste as ‘soft and fluffy’ meaning its light in flavor, and not overpowering the cannabis.

It is best vaped at 212F - 302F.

Cloves

Cloves and smoking are best known together in cigarettes, but vaping cloves with cannabis gives all new benefits with that same fresh taste.

It hits in the back of the throat and stays tingling for a while. It is considered an anti-inflammatory that helps soothe the throat and lungs.

It carries antiseptic and analgesic compounds, which are good for anti-bacterial.

And lastly, it keeps your breath fresh.

The best temperature to vape is 257F – 302F.

Star anise

Star Anise is an herb originated in Southeast Asia. Although it has many health benefits, it is to be used scarcely.

They are filled with antioxidants, antiviral – star Anais is 7% shikimic acid, antifungal, and antibacterial.

On the negative side, too much star Anais can cause vomiting and jitteriness.

Troy describes the flavor to be very light, ‘not so in your face with the black licorice flavor’, but it still carries the scent.

Th best temperature to vape is 302F – 247F.

Eucalyptus leaves

Eucalyptus is one of the more known herbs that you can vape. It’s health benefits include that of reliving colds and sore throats.

Like Star Anais and Cloves, it carries antiseptic, antibiotic, and antifungal, and antiviral properties.

Vaping eucalyptus is good for you especially when you are sick or feeling low in your immune system. Its soothing affects are good for reducing stress and anxiety.

Troy says that the smell of the leaf is minimal, but the taste is much stronger and tastes nice in the flavor chamber. The best temperature to vape is 266F.

All in all,  vaping herbs with your cannabis will give you a different experience adding flavor and health benefits to your experience. The flavor chamber has been a very accepted accessory to the IQ vaporizer for this reason. Vaping already brings out the taste of cannabis much more compared to smoking it, and adding a hint of fruity hibiscus or minty cloves gives that up of flavor (not to mention the fact that it helps mask the marijuana smell if you’re in public).
