FAQ

Answers that make it easier to light up your ritual.

What are the IQ Series Ceramic Dosage Pods and what do they do?

The Ceramic Dosage Pods are pre-fillable oven inserts that sit in the IQ2, IQC, or IQ3 oven and hold your herb or concentrate load. They keep your oven cleaner by containing resin inside the pod rather than on the oven walls, make loading faster, and enable precise dosing — each pod holds up to 0.3g of material. For concentrate use, pair with a ceramic extract disc placed on top of the pod.

How do I use Ceramic Dosage Pods for concentrates in the IQ2 or IQC?

Load a small amount of concentrate onto the ceramic extract disc (included). Place the disc inside the pod. Insert the pod into the oven. The pod holds the concentrate in a stable, contained configuration that prevents it from running onto the oven walls during heating. Start at a lower temperature (320–360°F) and work up gradually.

Ceramic pods vs. stainless steel dosing capsules — which should I use?

Ceramic pods are the standard choice for concentrate use — they handle the extract disc and maintain flavor neutrality well. Stainless steel capsules heat up 16% faster due to steel's thermal conductivity, making them slightly more efficient for dry herb sessions. For concentrates, stick with ceramic. For herb, either works.

How many pods come in a pack, and how do I clean them?

The pack includes 5 ceramic pods plus extract discs. Clean them with an ISO rinse after every 3–5 sessions. When flavor from a pod becomes noticeably off even after cleaning, replace the pod rather than continuing to use a saturated one.

Are these compatible with the IQ3?

Yes — the IQ Series Ceramic Dosage Pods are compatible with the IQ3. The IQ3's larger 0.7g oven can accommodate multiple capsules simultaneously if you want to run back-to-back sessions without reloading mid-use.
