FAQ

Answers that make it easier to light up your ritual.

What is the DaVinci Hydrotube and how does it work?

The Hydrotube is a borosilicate glass water filtration attachment for DaVinci IQ-series vaporizers. It connects via a 10mm female joint, replacing the flat mouthpiece with a glass water tube. Vapor travels from the device into the Hydrotube, percolates through the water, and exits cooled and filtered at the mouthpiece. It's the most significant vapor quality upgrade available for IQ-series devices.

Which DaVinci devices is the Hydrotube compatible with?

The Hydrotube is designed for IQ-series vaporizers (IQ2, IQC) via the 10mm Water Tool Adapter. Confirm adapter compatibility for your specific device before purchasing. For MIQRO-C use, the correct MIQRO 10mm adapter is required as an intermediary.

How does the Hydrotube compare to connecting to a standard water bong?

The Hydrotube is designed and sized specifically for vaporizer use — the percolation volume and draw resistance are calibrated for the lower flow rates of dry herb vapor. Standard bongs can work via the 10mm adapter, but the Hydrotube's geometry provides the right water column height for vaporizer-optimized draw resistance. Oversized bongs typically create too much draw resistance or cause vapor to condense in the water before reaching you.

How much water do I put in the Hydrotube?

Fill it just enough to fully submerge the downstem opening — roughly a quarter to a third of the tube volume. Too much water increases draw resistance significantly; too little reduces filtration efficiency. Use clean or distilled water and replace it after each session for best flavor clarity.

How do I clean the Hydrotube?

Rinse with warm water after every session. For resin buildup, fill with a small amount of ISO, cap the openings, and shake. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and let fully dry before the next session. Residual ISO will affect vapor flavor if the tube isn't completely dry.

Does the Hydrotube significantly reduce vapor flavor?

Water filtration absorbs a small percentage of terpenes — this is true for all water tools. With the Hydrotube, the trade-off is cooler, smoother draws at a minor flavor intensity reduction. For users who prioritize smoothness and cool vapor, the Hydrotube is worth it. For users who want maximum terpene expression, the zirconia dry mouthpiece delivers purer flavor.
