How to choose a dry herb vaporizer
A dry herb vaporizer heats ground flower until its terpenes and cannabinoids turn to vapor, without burning it. Five things decide how one performs.
Heating: conduction vs convection
Conduction heats herb through contact with the oven walls. Convection passes hot air through it. DaVinci vaporizers use conduction, which heats quickly and delivers rich flavor from a well-packed oven. More in conduction, convection or combustion.
Temperature control
Lower temperatures bring out flavor, higher ones produce denser vapor. Look for precise control. The IQ3 and IQ Core adjust in single degrees, and every DaVinci includes Smart Paths that raise the temperature through a session for you.
Oven size
A bigger oven means longer sessions and easier sharing. A smaller one suits quick solo use and saves herb. Dosing capsules let you preload smaller amounts in a larger oven.
Battery and portability
Run time scales with battery size: up to 90 minutes on the IQ3, about 60 on the IQ Core and about 30 on the MIQRO-C. All three use removable batteries, so a spare keeps you going.
Vapor path materials
