The DaVinci 18650 battery is compatible with the DaVinci IQ2, IQC, and the legacy IQ vaporizer. It is a 3,000 mAh, 3.7V flat-top lithium-ion cell — the same spec used in DaVinci's factory configurations for these devices. It is not compatible with the IQ3 (which uses a 21700) or the MIQRO-C (which uses an 18350).

In the IQC, you'll get approximately 2 hours of use per charge. In the IQ2, runtime varies depending on temperature settings and how often the device is actively drawing — expect 60–90 minutes of active session time. The 18650's main advantage isn't runtime per charge; it's that the battery is removable, so you can carry charged spares and hot-swap in seconds rather than waiting for a wall charge.

DaVinci sources a specific flat-top 18650 (3,000 mAh, 3.7V, 11.10Wh) rated for the current draw and thermal range of IQ-series devices. Generic 18650 cells vary significantly in actual capacity, discharge curve, and internal resistance — some can cause inconsistent heating or accelerated wear on the device's battery contacts. DaVinci's genuine battery is covered under warranty; third-party cells are not.

The battery charges either in-device via the Type-C port on the IQ2 or IQC, or externally using DaVinci's External Battery Charger (sold separately). External charging is faster and lets you keep a spare battery live while the other charges — the recommended approach for daily users who want uninterrupted sessions.

For daily users: two minimum, three if you run long or multiple sessions per day. The battery charges in approximately 2 hours externally; with two batteries rotating, you'll never wait for power. Store spare batteries in a protective case — loose lithium-ion cells in pockets or bags are a safety risk.
