FAQ

Answers that make it easier to light up your ritual.

What is the DaVinci Dosage Grinder and what makes it different from a standard grinder?

The Dosage Grinder is a precision grinder engineered to fill DaVinci dosing capsules directly as you grind. Standard grinders produce a catch — you then need to manually transfer herb to capsules, which is messy and imprecise. The Dosage Grinder's bottom chamber is sized to accept and fill all six IQ Series dosing capsules simultaneously: grind, align, press, and all six capsules are loaded in one motion.

What grind consistency does the Dosage Grinder produce?

It produces a medium-fine grind — the optimal consistency for DaVinci's ceramic ovens. Too fine and airflow is restricted; too coarse and extraction is uneven. The grinder's teeth geometry is calibrated for this range, tuned to what the oven needs rather than grinding as fine as possible.

Can I use the Dosage Grinder with other vaporizer brands' capsules?

The grinder is designed specifically for DaVinci's dosing capsule format (IQ Series ceramic and stainless steel). Other brands' capsules that happen to share similar dimensions may fit, but this isn't guaranteed and isn't a supported use case.

How do I clean the Dosage Grinder?

Use a stiff brush between uses to dislodge stuck herb from the teeth. For a deep clean, disassemble the grinder and use ISO on a brush to clean the teeth and chambers. Let fully dry before reassembling. Residue in grinder teeth is the primary cause of uneven grind consistency over time.
