What is the DaVinci EQ?

The DaVinci EQ is a premium electric dab device designed for precise temperature control, clean vapor production, and modular concentrate use. It delivers the benefits of an e-rig (consistent heat, no torch and smooth water-filtered vapor) in a compact, touchscreen-controlled system.

How do I charge my EQ?  

Connect the provided USB-C cable to the port on the side of the base. The EQ charges at 5V and up to 3A, taking approximately 2 to 3 hours for a full charge.

How much water should I add to the Jacuzzi bubbler?

Fill the bubbler no more than halfway up. Always remove the bubbler from the base before filling to avoid water damage. Use clean or distilled water for best performance and replace regularly.

How do I turn the EQ device on/off?

Click the Command Button 5 times to power the EQ on or off. The device automatically shuts down after 5 minutes of inactivity or when the battery becomes critically low.

What's the best way to load concentrates?

 You have two options: 

  • Cold Start: Load concentrates into the quartz crucible before turning on the heater for more flavorful, smoother vapor as terpenes are individually expressed 
  • Hot Start: Load concentrates once the crucible is hot for higher strength vapor 

Use the included loading tool and avoid overloading the crucible. 

What temperature settings are available for EQ?

The EQ offers two modes:

  • Precision Temperature Mode: Set any temperature from 450-650°F (232-343°C). The temperature remains constant throughout your session for optimal flavor consistency.

The default temperature is 550°F (288°C) or your last set precision temperature.

  • Smart Path™ Mode:

Choose from 4 customizable paths. Default Smart Paths are:

  • Atomic: 600-620°F (316-327°C)
  • Clouds: 560-580°F (293-304°C)
  • Flavor: 520-540°F (271-282°C)
  • Terpene: 480-500°F (249-260°C)

You can customize the paths, duration and name under the settings screen.

How do I start a heating session with EQ?

Press and hold the Command Button for 2 seconds to turn on the heater. The device will vibrate. Once the heater reaches your set temperature, the LED lights turn green. A 45-second session will automatically start.

Can I extend my session?

Yes! Once the heater has reached temperature and the session starts, click the Command Button once to add 20 seconds. You can add up to 60 seconds total during a session.

What is the Carb Cap for?

The Carb Cap is optimized for vapor production by injecting fresh air into the crucible during a session, pushing extracts towards the hottest part of the crucible. Close the carb cap, press down on the air inlet with a soft touch, and massage in a steady circular motion while inhaling. Open the carb cap while inhaling to clear any remaining vapor from the bubbler.

How long does the EQ battery last?

The 3000mAh battery provides approximately 50 hits, though this varies based on runtime, temperature settings, and usage conditions.

Can I use the device while charging?

Yes! The EQ features passthrough charging, so you can charge during an active session. Simply connect the USB-C cable to continue using your device.

What charger should I use?

Use only the provided USB-C cable. The EQ charges at 5V and up to 3A.

How do I navigate the touchscreen?

Swipe the touchscreen to browse between different modes and settings. Tap once to confirm your selection. Swipe right to go back.

What screens are available?
  • Control Screen: Your session data hub showing current temperature, set temperature, and session time remaining 
  • Precision Temperature: Swipe up/down to set your exact temperature 
  • Smart Paths™: Swipe up/down to choose your temperature path

Can I customize how my EQ looks?

Absolutely! You can adjust LED lights (with multiple light shows), screen brightness, and choose from 30+ background themes to make your EQ your own.

How often should I clean the quartz crucible?

Clean the crucible after each session while it's still warm. Use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol and wipe in a circular motion. This prevents buildup and ensures better flavor for your next session.

How do I deep clean my Jacuzzi bubbler?

Detach the bubbler from the base, remove the mouthpiece, and discard any liquid. Add isopropyl alcohol, rock salt and swirl to dissolve reclaim. It's best to soak it in a bag to really get the iso and rock salt in there. Flush thoroughly with clean water to remove any solvent residue.

How do I clean the electrical connections?

Check the connection between the heater and base periodically. Use an isopropyl alcohol wipe or cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to clean the connection points if needed. The LED lights underneath the heater will flash green when there's a successful connection.

Can I replace the quartz crucible?

Yes! The quartz crucible is removable and replaceable. To disconnect: unscrew the retention ring, then gently pull the crucible off the heater. To reconnect: carefully seat the crucible onto the heater, install the O-ring, and screw the retention ring back on.

What should I avoid when cleaning?
  • Never submerge the heater or base in liquid 
  • Avoid prolonged soaking of silicone parts in isopropyl alcohol 
  • Don't blow or exhale into the mouthpiece, as this may flood the base and damage internal components 
My device won't turn on. What should I do?

Ensure the device is fully charged (2-3 hours). If it still won't power on after charging, contact DaVinci customer support.

The heater won't turn on or isn't heating properly. What's wrong?

Check that the heater is properly connected to the base. The LED lights underneath the heater should flash green upon successful connection. If not, reconnect and inspect the connectors. Clean the connection points with isopropyl alcohol if needed.

How do I perform a factory reset?

 While the device is turned off, press and hold the Command Button for 10 seconds until the device vibrates. This will reset your EQ to factory settings.

My touchscreen isn't responding. What should I try?

Try performing a factory reset. If the issue persists, contact DaVinci support for assistance.

The device vibrates twice during my session. What does that mean?

This is normal. The device vibrates twice when there are 10 seconds remaining in your session, giving you a heads up that your session is ending.

What does the warranty cover?
  • EQ Electronic Base: 2 years from date of purchase 
  • Heater (for use with interchangeable crucible accessories): 60 days 
  • Heat/Ceramic Crucible Combo: 60 days 
  • Repaired/replaced parts: 30 days or remainder of original warranty (whichever is longer) 
What is not covered by warranty?

What's the best temperature for flavor?

For maximum flavor and terpene preservation, use lower temperatures in the EQ Electric Quartz System (450-510°F). Cold start loading also enhances flavor by allowing different terpenes to express individually as temperature rises.

How do I get bigger clouds?

Use higher temperatures (580°F and above), try Smart Path™ 3 or 4, and consider hot start loading. You can also extend your session for additional vapor production.

How can I make my heater and crucible last longer?
  • Clean after every session while still warm 
  • Avoid overloading the crucible 
  • Use quality concentrates 
  • Don't exceed recommended temperatures 
  • Store properly when not in use 
Can I use the EQ for travel?

The EQ comes with a travel case with dividers, making it portable. However, always check local laws regarding concentrate devices before traveling.

Can I use the EQ for flower?

We design each device with intention. While you could technically place flower in the Electric Quartz Crucible, the high temperatures would lead to combustion. Check out DaVinci IQ3 for a better herbal experience. 

Any safety tips I should know?
  • The EQ contains hot components, so use caution to avoid burns
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Don't operate heavy machinery during or after use
  • Handle lithium batteries with care during charging and storage
